Ssh! It’s Del Frisco’s new menu

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on Boston’s 50,000-watt CBS affiliate WBZ AM 1030 weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

As the seaport continues to fill with more and more amazing eateries (including the latest Tuscan Kitchen and Andy Husband’s Smoke Shop), it is becoming more challenging to stand out.

As they prepare to open a new base camp at the Pru next summer, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House is upping the ante by taking a page from the likes of In-n-Out Burger and Starbucks.

As part of their newly-revamped menu, Del Frisco’s is offering a selection of “secret menu” options, including their “Double Eagle,” a double-bone Ribeye that is both wet- and dry-aged and carved tableside, making for a bit of dinner theatre in one of the most beautiful dining spaces in the area.

Other menu additions include a new Prime NY Strip and Prime Ribeye, as well as salmon and other seafood, and an app list that is a bacon-lover’s dream. Among the amazing sides are a spaghetti squash gratin with pistachios and creamed corn with blistered Shishito peppers. To wash it all down, Double Eagle’s own wine line is great, but the dangerously yummy fruit-infused VIP may win the prize. And when it comes time for dessert, the butter cake is a sweet meal in itself!

So even though they have always been known as on of the bet steak houses in Boston and cross the country, Del Frisco’s continues to innovate to make sure their customers all leave satisfied.
