A new way to dance with bananas

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

I love bananas. Nearly everybody loves bananas! And with more and more health studies coming out singing their praises, there is more to love than ever.

The only part I do not love is transporting bananas. They are bulky, awkward, and delicate and when they get squashed- Ugh!

Fortunately, I found a delicious new way to get the benefits without the brown spots.

BananaSamba is a local company that was started by two Brazilian women that uses a traditional Brazilian process to turn bulky bananas into their native dessert dulce de banana which makes for hardy, handy, easy to pack snacks that offer all the flavor and nutrition without any risk of mess. They come plain or glazed with cane sugar and are great for school lunches, hiking, car and plane trips, or whenever you need a yummy boost of energy! What is more- the snacks are vegan, fat-free, gluten-free, sodium-free and have no artificial colors or flavors and no mess or slipping hazards! They are available at places like Foodies’ Market, Wilson Farm, Tropical Foods Supermarket. and online at amazon and bananasamba.com.
