The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

October is breast cancer awareness month and one of our local heroes who is leading the charge is Carol Brownman Sneider of the not-for-profit known as Bakes for Breast Cancer.

This year, Carol is spearheading an Office Bake Sale Challenge which invites people at various places of business to help raise money for breast cancer research by bringing sweet treats (perhaps Kane’s donuts) to their respective break rooms and leaving donation jars throughout the month. After all, what’s a few extra calories when they can save someone’s life?

Funds will support the research of Dr. Shom Goel at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute who is working to find new ways to support breast cancer patients with immunotherapy.
