As the craft beer boom continues to swell, many people admit to being very much in the dark about the growing menu of sudsy selections. Fortunately, the folks at Lamplighter Brewery are finding a way to help these people while helping others for whom darkness is a problem in another sense.

On September 24, Lamplighter will host a blindfolded taste test at their Cambridge brewhouse and taproom to raise money for the National Braille Press. While guests feel their way through Lamplighter’s impressive list of products (and accompanying snacks), they will also be given a taste of the history and importance of braille and the National Braille Press.

If you are willing to live in the dark for a bit, you too can be enlightened to the delicious brews at Lamplighter and to ways to support your friends and neighbors.
