The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

We have often raved about the many creative ways our friends and neighbors in the Maine have used their annual supply of 575,000 gallons of maple syrup to make everything a little sweeter and lot more delicious.

On the fourth Sunday of March (which this year happens to be March 24), many of these sappy superstars will come together for the 2019 edition of Maine Maple Sunday.

Sponsored and supported by the Maine Maple Producers Association (MMPA), this annual event brings maple-based producers and maple product lovers together for a tree-tappin celebration of one of Maine’s greatest exports.

This year, over 60 sugarhouses from Aroostock to York County will be open to the public and offering not just tastes but also tours of the trees and other special events- including a logging demonstration in Newfield, a gluten-free meal at Velvet Hollow Sugar Works, and (of course) a hot pancake breakfast with plenty of you-know-what.

Maple has long been a main reason to visit Maine, and on the 24thof March, you can spend the day drinking it all in!
