The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
Every day, I hear about and try out more foods that are being created to help people around the planet who deal with allergies and sensitivities. Recently, I found an alternative snack made in Norwood, MA, that not only helps people with these issues but that can also help the planet itself!
Pop I.Q. looks like tiny popcorn and tastes just as yummy (especially as it comes in such tongue-tempting flavors as traditional kettle, real cheddar, sea salt and cracked pepper, and tasty Tuscany). But as each single-serving bag is made with organic whole grain sorghum, it is more nutritious and more sustainable than popcorn.
For those who may not be familiar, sorghum is an ancient grain that has been used for centuries for cereals, snacks, and flour around the world. The US is the largest producer and no matter where it is grown, it is drought resistant and takes far less water to grow than corn and other grains. It also offers muscle-building protein and filling complex carbs, as well as magnesium, iron, and energy-supplying B vitamins. And as there are no hulls, gluten or GMOs in Pop I.Q., there is nothing to get stuck in your teeth or to gum up your insides!
Pop I.Q. is good for you, good for the planet, and just plain GOOD!
