Wine-ing for five whole courses

After the success of the wine classes we previously praised, Hardwick Winery is upping the oenophilic offerings with a five-course wine-paired dinner on August 4 at 6 PM.

If you have not visited their beautiful winery and had a wine slushy or other tasty tipple in their restored 1795 timber frame barn, this will be a great way to be introduced to the winery and its amazing wines!

As locally-sourced as the wine is, so too will the food be. And as the dynamic duo of Chef Peter Ryzewski and Hardwick’s resident sommelier and wine educator Missa Capozzo are hosting, it is sure to be delicious and edifying!

From the opening acts of Hardwick’s brand-new Greenwich apple wine with charcuterie and a berry salad with their also-debuting Reservoir Rose to the main course of either a blueberry Wensleydale-wrapped chicken breast or cheese-stuffed mushroom paired with the popular Baystate blueberry and concluding with an early-seasonal pumpkin whoopie pie, the meal is a cornucopia of local flavors paired with some of the best and most creative local wines.

In addition to the dinner debuts, Hardwick is also preparing to roll out such other soon-to-be favorites as a semi-dry strawberry white and cherry-based red, and an apple pie dessert wine that will surely be a great finish to any meal. So, even if you cannot make the meal August 4, you are sure to have plenty to enjoy at your home and the homes of other friends thanks to our friends at Hardwick Winery.
