I am looking forward to going way out west to the MN State Fair soon, but cannot wait to come home to the even bigger six-state fair back here in West Springfield that has been known for over 100 years as The Big E.

This year’s Eastern States Exposition will be held September 13-29 and will offer more food, shows, rides, and fun than ever before! In addition to animal and car shows, daily parades, and performances by the legendary likes of Marilyn McCoo, Loverboy and Foreigner (as well as Sesame Street Live on September 22), the Big E hosts all the best things that our New England states are known for – from ME Lobsters and RI clam cakes to maple products from NH and VT to MA apples and CT’s own PEZ!

Speaking of food, in addition to a performance by Bowling for Soup, The Big E will offer a menu that ranges from their famed cream puffs to more adventurous tastes like frozen cheesecake and martinis, pulled pork-stuffed corn cakes, and deep-fried pineapple upside-down cake. Needless to say, the E has something for everyone!

So bring your family and friends to the second-biggest fair in the US (darn you, Texas!). No matter when you come and what you do, The Big E is BIG fun!
