It has been a bit since we raved about our Veteran-led friends at Bucket of Bread, but as they continue to come out with more ways to enjoy their delicious and healthy products, I figured it was time to remind folks!
While I have long loved using their vegan-friendly, organic, and clean ingredients (which includes no added sugar) to make bread, challah, pizza, and other baked goods (or shall I say “greats”?), I have recently fallen for their “farm-style” classics which feature red spring wheat that results in a light, chewy texture and crisp crust that delights all who enjoy it.
And even though using these boxed bread kits means I no longer get to use the eponymous bucket, the rustic results and easy prep (all I have to do is add water to the included container- but don’t tell anyone!) are worth the sacrifice.
Whenever I go to https://bucketofbread.com, I am impressed and inspired by the great set of recipes, which recently included Carda-Mom rolls for Mother’s Day and breadstick lightsabers for May the 4th (aka, “Star Wars Day”). While I save up for a pair of B-o-B-inspired sneakers, I am also inspired by the stories of Veterans and others who have benefited from the company’s corporate generosity. Since leaving the Army, CEO Chris Wysong has been giving his time, product, and proceeds to charities and people in need to make sure that others can enjoy not only their freedom but also food.
Even though I am supposed to watch my carbs these days, I am still a huge fan of Bucket of Bread and encourage everyone to support them- not only because their products are more healthy and delicious than others, but also because of all you can do with their kits and all they do for others when you buy them.
