Townshend to celebrate Patriots Day with REAL patriots

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (https://wbznewsradio.iheart.com/) weekdays at 11:55 AM. The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

While we often talk about the great work our beloved Patriots do on an doff the field, Boston has been known for its Patriots long before Mr. Kraft (or even Mr. Sullivan) came to town.

As it is almost Patriots Day, what better place to honor these true American heroes than at a truly American restaurant like the Townshend in Quincy?
Established just steps from the birthplaces of John Hancock and the Presidential Adams family, Townshend (which is named for the acts that eventually led to the American Revolution) is a modern American tavern that does not forget from whence it comes. While others may have thrown tea, Townshend bar manager Palmer Matthews has thrown together some historically-accurate aperitifs like the Hancock tribute known as The Gentleman Smuggler and an Old Fashioned made with John Adams’ apple brandy. Chef Collin Davis has also gotten into the swing by adding an authentic apple pan dowdy to the menu.

So when life gets taxing or you just want to reminisce, try the Townshend for an historical helping of great food and drink!
