Matt records segments for Jordan Rich’s “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:
Farm Grill
When not on the radio or at restaurants, I teach English.
Lately, however, I have been getting educated in Greek.
The Farm Grill and Rotisseries in Newton is bright, clean and the food is homemade, healthy and delicious. In addition to a steaming line of hot dishes that range from traditional Spanikopita, Moussaka, and, as the name says, succulent rotisserie chicken, the Grill also offers contemporary favorites, including a delicious kale salad that can be topped with their spectacular Greek dressing (which is also available by the bottle). From appetizers and sides that range from sautéed lima beans and marinated mushrooms to homemade homus and tzatziki dips and their signature avocado and Feta-based Greek-amole, to house-baked desserts that include some of the best baklava this side of Athens.
While a meal at the Farm Grill is easy going and fun, they also cater, deliver with Dine Dash, and many of their items are also available at the family-owned Greek International Food Market near the VA in West Roxbury. In addition to having their own supply store, the Farm Grill also has its own loyalty program, which gives guests $20 back for each $100 they spend.
On February 26, the savings and flavors will be even better as the Farm Grill will celebrate its 20th year by bringing back its original menu with all the original prices!
So even if you do not know your avgolomeno soup from your Zoos iced tea, drop by the Farm Grill and Rotisserie and learn some Greek!
