Matt records segments for Jordan Rich’s “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

I know I have been going on and on about Rail trail Flatbread and New City Microcreamery, but for those who are still not convinced to check out this popular pair of purveyors in hipper-than-you-may-think Hudson, MA, there is now a most intriguing third chapter to the story.
In the back of New City is a new venue that combines the old-fashioned charm and spunk of a speakeasy with the fresh flavors and ideas for which the New City/Rail Trail team is known.
Called “< / >” (which, for our listeners, is the symbol for greater than and less than), this back room saloon invites guests to take on a persona, say the password, and slide on into the scene. The “scene” includes elements of hunting lodges, libraries, and your favorite neighborhood bar, where friends, lovers, and those hoping to be share hand-crafted spirits, satisfying snacks, and spirited conversation in a secluded hideaway to which all of age are welcome.
While it is not for the kiddies, many parents have been known to take their families to dinner and ice cream at Rail Trail and New City, drop the young’uns off at home and come right back for some more mature fun. Even if you are not a aren’t, however, it is becoming apparent that the back room at New City has all the treats that the front space does, but for the over-21 crowd.
The drinks are great and the vibe is fun and, while everyone should know to go, nobody has to know!
