Oy! Is gut!

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

While Brookline has Rubins and Michaels and Boston Public Market has Beantown Pastrami, there is really not much else in the immediate Boston area for great deli.

Fortunately, the talented team behind such Kendall Square stars as Hungry Mother and State park are ready to return to their roots with the opening of Mamaleh’s.

With three of the founding team coming from Jewish backgrounds, the authenticity of the flavors will be beyond reproach, with everything from house-made pastrami, corned beef, and smoked fish, to bagels, rugelach, and babka. There will even be an old-fashioned soda fountain pumping out egg creams and other delights. Whle the vibe may be Lower East Side, all of Kendall’s diverse residents and workforces will be invited with open arms and encouraged to take home frozen versions of Mamaleh’s many favorites or memorabilia from their gift shop. As it will be nearby to State park (which they also run), the creative team will always be around to make sure that nobody goes home hungry.
