Nella Pasta

I love making new friends in the food biz, Jordan, especially those who have an undeniable passion for what they create.

Among my new friends are Leigh and Rachel – the hard-working new moms behind Nella Pasta in Boston Public Market – and the smiling face of the operation, Chef Avery.

Every day, the Nella team put together the most creative and fresh pasta dishes this side of Milan. Using ingredients form his many friends at the market, including meats from Stillman’s Farm, Chef Avery makes hand-extruded pasta that fits right in with Nella’s ridiculous raviolis. Among the current batch of seasonal varieties are pastas made with local cranberries, butternut squash, and orange zest. They also have a gluten-free version available. And if you call ahead, they can make pretty much any flavor you want in pretty much any amount you want.
For those who want to grab a bite on site, Nella’s offers their famous pasta bowls and the daily skillet, which often features their famed Bolognese and available toppings like their cream, tomato, or pesto-based sauces and a full menu of meats and veggies that ranges from bacon to kale. Chef Avery is also apt to make on on-the-spot creation that often inspires customers to order in new and creative ways as well.
