Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:
There are few places in the Boston area that are more beautiful or romantic than the Royal Sonesta Hotel where you can dine and stay with a view of the Charles and the city skyline.
For Valentine’s Day, the Sonesta is upping the ante by taking some of the area’s most famous seasonal treats and – dare I say? – improving upon them.
As the home of Harvard and MIT and the ever-burgeoning biotech and tech fields, Cambridge has been a bastion of creativity for decades. One of the area’s most famous creations is the Sweethearts candy that was first created by New England Confectionary Company (aka NECCO) in 1866 and that has since been sold and shared by the billions all over the world.
This Valentines’ Day, Sonesta Pastry Chef Christina Allen Flores will offer her own set of custom-made conversation heart cookies to guests and visitors alike. The cookies will be on sale through Valentines Day at the Studio lobby coffee shop for $2 each of a half-dozen for $10.
So even if you are an old-fashioned romantic, this 21st century upgrade may be just what you need to start a new conversation that may end with the words “I do.”
