The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:
From Karen Ackunowicz and Tiffany Faison to Andy Husbands and Jason Santos, many of Boston’s best chefs have proven their worth on the many chef challenge shows on TV.
On April 26, some of Boston’s best will come together again for the Boston edition of Culinary Fight Club, a national cooking competition that not only allows great chefs to show their stuff, but also gives them a chance to give back by raising money for Fight2Feed, which deals with world hunger at the local community level.
The event will take place at Mayflower Brewing in Plymouth and is open to the public. Winners will take home great food and glory and will have a chance to participate in the World Food Championships in November.
Among the scheduled participants will be Chef Stephen Coe, Rob Sisti and Jiwon McCartney of Culinary Fight Club, as well as Michele Ragussis of Central House at the Crown and Food Network; Mike Fucci of Cutthroat Kitchen; Jen Royle of Dare to Taste, Gregg Brackman of G Bar & Kitchen, and Jay Austin of Stephanie’s to name a few.
The competition will continue in July and September, so there is plenty of time to get involved with or just to go enjoy a fun food fight night that does good for the participants, the spectators, and the community.
