Michael’s Deli owner in Relay for Life for American Cancer Society

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

In addition to providing some of the best food around (Oy- those knishes!), Michael’s Deli proprietor Steve Peljovich is always on the lookout for ways to give to the community in other ways.

On May 20-21, Steve will participate again in the Relay for Life to raise awareness and money to fight cancer. As he and hundreds of others walk in a relay around the Newman Elementary School in Needham (which is one of hundreds of sites nationwide), there will also be activities for kids, parents, survivors, and caregivers. Word also has it that Steve will be bringing some noshes for those who participate as well (which is reason enough to get involved!)

So whether you have been touched by cancer or, like Steve, just like to help out and do what you can for others, or if you are just a fan of amazing food and fun, get involved in the Relay for Life. It will make you feel good down to your kishkes!
