Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:
For those who love authentic Italian but who are loathe to fight for parking in the North End, there is now yet another great option outside of town. In fact, this one is outside of the Commonwealth!
Expanding the empire that stretches from Salem, NH to Burlington, MA, Tuscan Kitchen has recently opened in Portsmouth, NH. The 16,000-square foot space includes a 300-seat restaurant for lunch and dinner, as well as a Tuscan Market that will begin offering Italian and locally-sourced meats, cheese, pasta, fresh baked goods and more starting in June. Having trained with Boston legend Todd English, Chef Nimesh Maharjan is ready to combine the best of downtown with the best of the Old Country while adding Portsmouth’s own funky flair. As part of the Joe Faro family of fooderies, the new Tuscan is already supporting community endeavors, including a local homeless shelter.
If you insist on enjoying Tuscan’s many benefits in Boston, a Seaport location is slated to arrive this fall. In the meantime, there is no shame (and lots of good) in traveling out of town for an out of this world dining experience.
