Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ AM 1030 (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:
As you well know, Jordan, I grew up in the Merrimack Valley’s apple country and am a HUGE cider fan. As I also try to keep an eye on what I eat and drink, I am also a fan of sensible organic options. That is why I was so excited to find Le Brun organic demi-sec cider (or “cidre” as it is apparently pronounced in France)!
Produced in the Brittany region using traditional methods and a variety of organic apples that are literally picked by hand and then left to rest a bit to enhance their flavor profiles, LeBrun is so select that it is bottled in the style usually reserved for champagne, with a true cork and cage to keep the flavor and natural effervescence inside until it is enjoyed. The result is a lightly sweet but easily pairable cider that preserves and even enhances the flavors of the fruit from which it was born. I have been enjoying it with fish, meat, organic veggies, French Camembert (of course), and just on its own and always find myself smiling and slowing down as I enjoy a glass. So not only is it healthy for my body, it seems to be good for the soul too!
