Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (https://wbznewsradio.iheart.com/) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
Many cooks find it difficult to remember the recipe for their Bubbe’s brisket, let alone hundreds of recipes and the travels that inspired them. Even some of the world’s great chefs have difficulty keeping it all straight, especially when dealing with a brain-strangling scourge like Alzheimer’s. In the same vein as Joan Harper’s “Cooking with Adrienne” comes a loving tome that shares the word-traveling wisdom and kitchen creations of famed chef and award-winning cookbook author Paula Wolfort. In addition to over 50 recipes, the book also shares tips on how to stock a larder and recollections of the equally legendary likes of Allen Ginsberg and James Beard, as well as Wolfort’s views on the ties between food and memory and her advice for dealing with losing memories even as more are being made. So even if you can’t “relax and follow the recipe” (as Wolfort often prescribes), you can follow the story of the woman who thought it up in the first place and so keep its memory and hers alive.
