The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Cambridge has long been known as s an east coast beachhead for the renewable energy movement. And yet, one of the favorite places to eat and drink in town seems to be headed back to the stone age.

Under the expert eye of Chef Brian Poe, Bukowski’s Tavern in Inman Square has recently launched their Fossil Fuels program. And while this may have you thinking that they will be burning coal to make their delicious burgers or warming their fries with a nuclear reactor, the truth is that the name refers to a return to “vintage” beers that may predate the craft revolution yet still deserve to be enjoyed and celebrated.

From Old Baba Yaga to Uncle Jacob’s Stout, the Fossil Fuel program will continue to ensure that Bukowski regulars (and new fans) can all enjoy rare and often discontinued brews alongside great food and good friends. Each beer will be introduced one at a time and enjoyed until the dregs are gone, making it more than tempting to return often to see what is next on the delicious docket.

So fire up the Prius and head into Cambridge for a beer celebration that will surely stand the test of time.
