The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
As a former resident of Marblehead, I can recall many night spent at the Warwick Theatre watching movies and hanging out with my friends.
When I recently returned after many years away, I found that the Warwick had taken on a new look and a whole new attitude.
In addition to offering first-run movies, the revamped Warwick also offers fresh food and drink from Wick’s Brick Oven Restaurant and Dandee Donuts, both of which are attached and run from the same scratch kitchen.
On their own, Dandee and Wick’s are great places to meet the locals (or someone special) either over coffee and delicious hand-made donuts (that are frankly too good for dunkin’) or while listening to live music and enjoying an impressive beer and cocktail list or family-friendly dinner menu that includes brick oven pizzas and other trip-worthy options. When combined with the movie theater, however, the complex now known as Warwick Place is a great place to spend the better part of an afternoon or evening, either by dining before or after the movie or being efficient and doing both simultaneously.
So if you want to catch a blockbuster while sipping a Wallbanger or round up the family for a movie night (complete with an unheard of $6 large popcorn!), head down to Warwick Place and see what the birthplace of the American Navy has come up with now.
