The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
Nick Fratarolli is at it again!
The ravenous restaurateur behind such hot spots as Ward 8, North Square Oyster and Bodega Canal is set to open a new restaurant called Tony and Elaine’s later this month in the space that was Amici on North Washington Street.
Named for Nick’s parents, Tony and Elaine’s will take from Nick’s familial roots and combine them with hi sense of what is new and now. With a kitchen helmed by Chef Eric Buonagurio (who is currently overseeing Nick’s other All Day Hospitality properties), Tony and Elaine’s will offer lunches and dinners that nod to classic Italian-American red sauce restaurants while bringing Nick’s signature touch to every dish.
With a dine-in menu that features traditional favorites such as spaghetti and meatballs, lobster ravioli, chicken parmesan, and pasta that is made in house daily, the two-floor space will also offer a dedicated takeout area that will dish out meatball sandwiches, chicken parm heroes and Italian subs on braided rolls, making it easy to enjoy even in the midst of a busy day downtown.
So if you love the All Day Hospitality vibe and want to bring it into the night or if you are just looking to grab a great bite in the North End, drop by Tony and Elaine’s and tell ‘em Nick sent ya!
