Chef Daniel Bruce to be honored by Boy Scouts of America May 23, 2019

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Every year, we sing the praises of Chef Daniel Bruce and his talented team at the Boston Harbor Hotel for putting together another amazing Boston Wine Festival. Chef Bruce does a lot more for the culinary and general community, however, and fortunately, we are not the only ones who notice.

In fact, on May 23, Chef Bruce will be honored by the Boy Scouts of America at their 2019 Hospitality Good Scout Breakfast, which will be held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston starting at 8 AM. 

The event will also honor Robert Earl, Chairman of Planet Hollywood International, Inc. and Earl Enterprises, who is also a Board Member for the Boston University School of Hospitality Administration. Both he and Bruce be presented with the “Good Scout” award for their contributions to Scouting and Boston’s thriving hospitality industry.

This event is the brainchild of Seaport Hotel GM Jim Carmody and Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council Chief Executive Chuck Eaton, both of whom want to see Scouting continue to thrive in New England and beyond so it can continue to inspire young people to take the best care of themselves, each other, and their world as they can and to prepare for the careers of the future in the world of hospitality and elsewhere.
