The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

As much of the rest of the Greater Boston area becomes inaccessible (despite the expansion of the T), Quincy continues to be red hot and to expand not only in terms of population but also in terms of offerings.

Among the most notable expansions is the menu at Cucina Mia.

Cucina Mia is a family-run establishment that offers long-time locals and new immigrants a place to meet and mingle with authentic Italian food and good friends old and new.

Among the favorite offerings is the Mufaletta. While it was invented in Shreveport, LA at world-famous Fertitta’s Deli, the family at Cucina Mia do a pretty good job (for Yankees), piling the Genoa salami, prosciutto, mortadella, capicola and provolone cheesehigh on a hunk of ciabatta that is then slathered with their own tangy olive spread. It is an Italian feast (by way of Dixie) all in one! And for just $9, it’s also a great deal, as is all of the menu at Cucina Mia.

So if you are new to the Quincy area or just dropping in to see what all the buzz is about, be sure to say “Bongiorno” to Cucina Mia.
