While auto-tune continues to be the scourge of the music industry, Northampton-based Signature Sounds Presents continues to carry the torch of real music and the real cool people who love it.
From July 12-14, Signature will gather artists from near and far to their award-winning hootenanny known as Green River Fest.
Held on the campus of Green River Community College, GRF is presented this year by Tea Guys and Dean’s Beans, both of whom will be providing great wake-up fuel to drowsy campers looking to get their groove back on. There will also be tasty treats from Bart’s Homemade Ice Cream, Binge BBQ, Dark Matter Medicinals, Old Friends Farm, Samosa Man, Papa Dogs, Holyoke Hummus and other locally-sourced faves.
In addition to great music by bands like First Aid Kit, The Wood Brothers, Rhiannon Giddens, and The Record Company, the Fest will also offer great food, an amazing hot air balloon illumination on Saturday night, and some of the best scenery in the state!
So if you need an escape from the digital world but still want great music, great fun, and great views, head out to Greenfield for the Green River Music Fest July 12-14.
