The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

In addition to talking about great food, I am always on the lookout for great ways to make food at home.

My latest love is my new Stargazer cast iron skillet.

What is there to get excited about for a skillet, you ask?

Well, this American-made skillet was designed by dinnerware design guru Peter Huntley and has been called the Lambourghini of cast iron skillets!

It is lighter than most cast iron pans and therefore easier to handle with one hand. And as the specially-designed forked handle is longer and more ergonomically-balanced than others, it is also easier to handle longer without getting hot finger.

What most makes this skillet a cut above, however, is it smooth cooking surface (which can be ordered bare or pre-seasoned for far less money than most other pans). When seasoned, eggs slip right off, but it is still rough and tough enough for the thickest cuts of meat or whatever else you may want to cook up. And the flared sides make it easy to pour off extra fat from any angle, making the final product healthier all around!

So the next time you want to try to copy a dish from one of Connoisseur’s Corner’s favorite places at home, look to the Stargazer!
