The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
In Boston, we have gotten pretty used to talking about back-to-back wins and consecutive great seasons. Even with all our titles and accolades, however, it is rare for any Boston-based business to have above a .666 average.
As they prepare to celebrate their third year across from the State House, Florina Pizzeria is also celebrating their second consecutive win at the Boston Pizza Festival, which itself is becoming one of the greatest wins for food fans in town.
While folks line up for their slices and pies, Florina also offers great panini, including That Sandwich with breaded chicken and prosciutto, and the poor man’s porchetta with herb-roasted pork and red pepper spread, as well as amazing salads, like their eponymous offering with house-blended greens, breaded chicken, plum tomatoes, roasted pepper and their own vinaigrette. While you wait for your main course, grab an arancini or some sweet potato fries with Sriracha aioli. And while their pasta is made fresh every day (and their rigatoni Bolognese is something to call your Nonna about!), nothing beats a heaping plate topped with a homemade meatball!
No matter what you order, the food is fresh, authentic, and doubly-award winning. If you want an extra shot of Italy, try a bottle of Campari-esque Frizz or a piece of homemade Triamisu. You will surely see why two out of three ain’t bad at all !
