The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Many moons ago, I sang the praises of a new restaurant in Medfield called Nosh and Grog.

Since that time, I have returned once or twice to partake of the grog side of the menu but was not as impressed with the food.

Recently, however, Chef Justin Rexroad (of another old favorite Social) has carved enough time out of his in-demand private and event chef duties (which are still available at www.chefjrex.com) to take the reins at Nosh and is already making a splash!

The new menu offers an approachable but elevated gastro pub concept that hearkens back to the space’s fabled days as Zebra Wine Bar and brings that legacy to the present. Combining seasonal flavors with regional faves and adding a lot more vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, Rexroad hopes to keep the sense of fun that Nosh has enjoyed but expand its offerings and its reach.

In addition to Rexroad’s signature burgers and food truck-inspired tacos, the new menu will offer “off-menu” items including a special treat that Rexroad calls the Big Nosh (Trust me- order it!). And, of course, the “grog” side of the menu is still packed with local brews and a full bar staffed by friendly and creative cocktailers.

So if you remember Nosh & Grog (or even Zebra) from its glory days or are just looking for a new suburban eatery with big city aspirations, follow Chef Rexroad to the noshier Nosh & Grog.
