Pink Taco lands in Boston

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Despite our reputation as a prudish state, Massachusetts has been opening up of late to new and progressive ideas, many of which have long been the rage out west. At the top of this list are such things as CBD (which has been taking the food space buy storm) and Pink Taco, the Vegas-born eatery with the less-than-polite name that recently landed in the Seaport.

Related to the Hard Rock chain, Pink Taco brings the same Rock and Roll attitude to the traditional taco stand. In its 20 years in existence (Yes, Boston, you are thatfar behind- but we did open ahead of Miami, so we got that going for  us!), it has stuffed millions of faces with its (in)famous Pink Taco cheese sauce and the habanero pickled onions that (purportedly) give the place its naughty name. The titular tacos come with such diverse fillings as carne asada steak, marinated pork shoulder and braised butt, zucchini and peppers, sweet potato, and (perhaps as a nod to its latest location) fried lobster. The new neighbor will also make nice by feeding the area  homeless on Thanksgiving.

The Mexican-inspired menu also includes burritos, enchiladas, and sizzling fajitas that come with their own selection of stuffings. To top any of these, PT offers a set of salsas that includes cactus and pineapple Serrano. PT also serves soup and salads and, of course, a long list of liquor-based libations that runs from cervezas and margaritas to mezcals and tequilas, as well as handfuls for wines and specialty cocktails.

So if you can get past the name and past the line that has been forming since the place opened, Pink Taco could become your new hip hot spot for lunch, brunch, or after-work debauchery in the Seaport.
