The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

I was recently back at one of my favorite restaurants – Simon Pearce in Queechee, VT – and, as I had a long drive home ahead, I decided to stick to non-alcoholic beverage list. The server tipped me off to a new sensation that is made in and around New England but has all the flavor and panache of a European import (including an umlaut in the name!). It is called Töst.

Made with white tea, fresh white cranberries, and ginger, Töst is delicious on its own and also pairs perfectly with a wide range of foods. With not too many calories and not too much fizz, it is a great alternative to wine or seltzer and offers additional health benefits thanks to its all-natural ingredients. Once I got some home, I also tried it as a mixer and found it plays well with nearly any spirit.

While it began its expanding journey in fine hotels and restaurants (like Simon Pearce), Töst can now be found at many Whole Foods markets and gourmet shops and is a great drink for any time or any occasion- from a celebratory dinner in VT to an end-of-day refresher at home. No matter where you are or what you are eating, it is always a good idea to raise a Töst!
