The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
While I still miss tea at Dorset Café and am miffed at the corporate brigands of Caffe Nero for taking over the rail station and ruining a locally-run neighborhood in Wellesley, I am glad to see the new tenant across the street doing so well.
And with good reason!
With its delicious vegetarian fare, hand-selected coffees and teas and deliciously energizing smoothies, Crepe Berry is a great place to grab a quick bite or drink before or after boarding the commuter rail. With its cozy seating, large windows, and WiFi that is as strong and robust as the coffeesm Crepe Berry is also a great place to hang out with neighbors or get work done while you wait for a train or a meeting or just to relax and decompress.
No matter when or why you come, however, you are sure to find plenty to enjoy!
In addition to their freshly-made and fresh fillings-filled 16” crepes (which come in savory varieties like their You Say Potato mash-up and sweet ones like the maple cream cheese-filled Vermont Berry, all of which are available vegan or gluten-free), Crepe Berry also offer Acai and grain bowls filled with fresh veggies, nut butters, granola, and other nutritious treats, and slabs of six-grain bread with avocado, hummus, pesto, bananas, and other tasty toppings. The fresh-baked bagels can be enjoyed alone or as the basis for such sunny and satisfying sandwiches. There is even Toffuti cream cheese for those with no taste for milk!
On the beverage side, there is nothing like Crepe Berry’s banana split and junior mint lattes, but their wide range of hot teas and other brewed favorites are just right at tea time or anytime!
Chains may come and chains may go, but it is locally-run places like Crepe Berry that make a neighborhood, so be sure to support them whenever you can!
