The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Living in Portsmouth, NH, Gabe DiSaverio might have become used to calm waters and cold days.

Fortunately, he went the other way, becoming a big fan of sharks and heat.

He recently combined these two passions into an impressive line of condiments called – what else? – The Spicy Shark.

Now before you go start humming that unfortunately ubiquitous song, just know that, even though they offer spiced syrups and even a hot honey, this company is NOT for babies! Gabe and his team use local ingredients and international recipes that hail from Carolina to Mexico to Scotland to bring the heat in serious ways to everything from the syrups and honey to more traditional spice sources like a smoked maple Sriracha and a dairy-free wing sauce. Their Scovie Award-winning Tiger Shark ghost pepper sauce (not to mention the BRAND NEW ultra-hot Cajun-meets-New England Hammah Gatah) will take a bite out of any heat eater!

So whether you want to wade into the world of spicy foods or dive in the deep end, The Spicy Shark may be your new spirit animal. So look for it in stores and restaurants throughout the area.
