More than an apron

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

Every day, I get emails from some company with a name that includes a color and some food. And while I go Orange Leaf frozen yogurt in Needham all the time, the companies that offer to send me ingredients for a couple of meals a week still befuddle me. After all, what good are ingredients if you are not so good in the kitchen and what good is a couple of healthy meals if you eat junk food the rest of the week?

Fortunately, I recently met a guy who seems to be on a better path. Scott Caponi of Food & Figure (www.foodandfigure.com) is a long-time professional fitness trainer who has worked at places like Boston Sports Club and The Sports Club/LA. As he is so dedicated to health and fitness, he now travels the eastern part of the state not only catering events and delivering fully-prepared, healthier-than-takeout meals made with locally-sourced ingredients and nutritionally-balanced recipes to homes and businesses, but also showing clients how to fit the meals into a healthy lifestyle that does not end when the apron comes off. So in addition to the meals Scott brings, there are also other planned meals and activities that will keep you on track to your fitness goals all day every day.
