Casey’s Diner – Where the elite (and everyone else) meet to eat

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

Casey’s Diner

I am a HUGE diner fan. And while I like the more upscale editions like the family of Deluxe Diners in Framingham, Newton and Watertown, there is nothing like the familial feeling of a tiny roadside eatery like Casey’s Diner in Natick.

Casey’s has been family owned and operated for almost 100 years and still offers a hand-placed letterboard menu filled with such favorites as burgers, dogs, eggs in various forms, and fresh-made pies. The Worcester-built car features 10 seats along a wooden counter and a small covered take out window on the side which is perfect for grabbing bag of burgers or their famed steamed dogs. As the Diner precedes ketchup, the easy order is the “all-around,” which includes mustard, onions and relish. They also offer Blue Fire coffee and handmade pastries from their friends at Well-Fed Bakery.

So if you want an honest meal served by friendly folks in cozy but comfy confines, set your GPS to Casey’s Diner, where, as the signs say, the elite and everyone else meet to eat.
