Superchef Rachel Klein brings it all back home at RFK Kitchen

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

RFK Kitchen

As a resident of what is apparently called the Newton-Needham Corridor, I am being inundated with chain restaurants of every ilk. That is why I am grateful for real food places like Hearth Pizza, 3 Squares, and the newest and hippest addition to town- RFK Kitchen.

For those who are not hip to this new American eatery yet, RFK are the initials of Rachel Klein, the wunderkind Needham resident who chefed at Harvard Square’s sorely missed OM (which, by the way, was run by the folks behind my fave Indian place, Shanti), the Mandarin Oriental in Boston and other kickin’ kitchens. After wowing the urban crowds, Klein has come home to the burbs and appear to be bringing the city crowd with her. With artistic touches by mosaic artist Ariel Finelt Shoemaker and sound design by Next Level Acoustics, the lounge and dining areas are both comfy and contemporary.  The food coming from the bustling open kitchen is creatively crafted from the freshest local ingredients and includes everything from amazing drinks to some of the best cookies and milk this side of your grandma’s kitchen. Though the vibe is mature, they also offer a great kids menu, so you can bring the family or just drop by to meet or make a friend or two.

So just head down the N2 Corridor to the newest place to get real and real good food.
