While many may think of Lexington and Concord when they hear about the Battle Road, there is a new BBQ joint and brewery in Maynard that is laying claim to the title.

Backed by the same team behind the family-friendly steak house Flank in Waltham and Italian eatery 29 Sudbury in (you guessed it!) Sudbury, Battle Road Brewery not only offers some of the best and most creative craft brews around but Executive Chef Jordan Mackey uses them (along with an always hot outdoor hardwood smoker) in BBQ recipes that may be the best outside of Kendall Square.

In addition to great food and drink, Battle Road also hosts special tastings and beer dinners, live music, private and corporate events, and even a table shuffleboard that makes waiting for a table with one of their fresh and flavorful beers even more fun! On weekends, visitors can even take a tour of the brewery and the website has a beer finder so fans can find their faves even when they can’t make it to Maynard.

So while Lexington and Concord may be the site of the shot heard round the world, there is a new revolution brewing a bit further down the road and it is one that is well worth checking out!
