MA Cheese Festival coming November 4

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on Boston’s 50,000-watt CBS affiliate WBZ AM 1030 weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

MA is known for being the birthplace of many things- Liberty. The telephone. The Toll House Cookie.

But many may not know that the Bay State also holds a special place in the history of cheese.

On November 4, history lovers and cheese fans alike are invited to the Somerville Armory for the 5th annual MA Cheese Festival, at which MA’s heritage as the apparent birthplace of the current rage- artisanal cheese- will be feted (or is that “fetad”?)

Award-winning cheesemakers will be on hand for tastings, demonstrations, and other gooey delights and popular pairings with wine, beer, cider, and other tasty treats will also be available.

As the cheese board and class schedule are expected to be full, there are two sessions being offered- one at 11:30 AM and one at 2:30 PM – so be sure to get your tickets now at http://macheesefest.org.
