Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (https://wbznewsradio.iheart.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
There are few places in New England (or anywhere, for that matter) that make for a better summer than Sebago Lake in ME. The water is still pure. The air is usually cool and refreshing. And the tempo is slow and mellow.
Speaking of mellow, there is now a new beverage company that makes a limited line of liquors that are perfect for sipping by the Lake or anywhere else, for that matter.
Sebago Lake Distillery was created by a trio of locals all of whom love their Lake and their craft and that love coms through in every drop of their rums. As Maine is one end of an historic trade route with the molasses-making West Indies, the history of rumbullion making in Maine is long and storied. And now all of those stories have a new home.
In addition to the main Maine rum, Sebago Lake (which is part of the Maine Distillers Guild) also makes bolder, whiskey-like rum called Spider Island and a Sumatran coffee-Infused variety called Kopi that is great as a mixer or on its own.
No matter which one you try, Sebago Lake Distillers can make any day a day by the Lake.
