The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
While many of our favorite eateries seem heck-bent on moving out to the Seaport, one savvy server has seen the tide rising and is now establishing a beachhead more inland before global warming causes the Seaport to sink.
With its expansive space and menu, both of which are beautifully broken up with walls of wine (12,500 bottles, to be exact), the new Del Frisco’s Double Eagle steakhouse at the Prudential Center is definitely worth more than one visit!
From the lush lounging seats in the front area to the granite bar to the main and side dining rooms (many of which are rentable and combinable and all of which offer AV equipment, making them perfect for business meetings or special rendezvous), the space is cavernous but comfortable. The menu is also temptingly expansive (especially the 50-page wine book that Is divided by region, nation, and almost down to the neighborhood), but the professionally friendly staff is more than happy to offer suggestions and take diners by the hand.
So whether you want a wet-aged or dry-aged steak, their famed shellfish platter (with or without added indulgences) or a dessert list that is worth its own visit (and that includes a mind-blowing butter cake from which the waitstaff generously shake of all calories), it is good to know that the Double Eagle has landed in such a neat nest.
