The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Thanks to our well-received piece on the VT Cheese Tours, I have been inundated with maple-based products (not that this is a problem, mind you!). And while the maple popcorn, soda, and sriracha have impressed, I was recently handed a bottle of Benito’s hot sauce and it took maple-based taste to a whole new place!

With its roots in NJ, Benito’s combines the best of the Garden and Green Mountain states to present a locally-sourced set of hot sauces (including the maple-based one) that are as eye-opening as they are sinus-opening.

In addition to making their non-GMO sauces with such ingredients as organic peppers (including the ever-more-popular Ghost pepper), squash, mango, ginger, garlic, and, of course, Stony Hill’s maple syrup, Benito’s also makes a mango habanero pepper jam and a darn fine pepper-infused syrup that bring the sweet heat from the breakfast table or to after-dinner drinks.

With their wide and growing list of offerings, Benito’s has a sauce for every taste and temperature and is quickly gaining fans in VT and beyond.
