The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
Having made a big hit at the recent Harvest Festival, Beantown Pastrami at Boston Public Market is offering even more!
In addition to a variety of combinations that feature their best-in-town hand-cut pastrami, roast beef, and roasted turkey, Beantown has recently expanded their mouthwatering menu with a series of specialty sandwiches, many of which were masterminded by manager Matt Marcella.
Using his 20 years of experience in the deli and sandwich business, Marcella has put together some locally-sourced twists on classic deli and also some brand new ideas that are sure to keep people coming back for more (just as I often do!).
To celebrate the Red Sox latest World Series victory, The Landsdowne Street Specialcombines Beantown’s famed pastrami with sautéed peppers and onions that take the traditional ballpark Italian sausage to a new place. Their well-named Fall Spectacular adds honey Dijon apple slaw and melted cheddar to the pastrami and lays it all down on a firm and fluffy bed of marble rye. Another clever creation is the PLT which, as its initials imply, is made of pastrami, lettuce and pickled green tomatoes, with homemade Dijonaise on sourdough. For those with a bit more of a sweet tooth, the pastrami peaches and cream introduces peach slaw and dill cream cheese to the pastrami. And for those who may drop by BPM when they need directions, the North by Southwest puts pickled jalapenos and mustard BQ sauce on Boston’s best pastrami and takes your taste buds on a trip they will not soon forget but will surely return for.
So even if you are a fellow frequent visitor to BPM or new to the savory scene, a visit to Beantown Pastrami is a must and will surely be the first of many, thanks to these inventive new menu items.
