The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
While many of neighbors await her triumphant return to her hometown of Needham, Chef Rachel Klein is making her mark a bit south in Sharon with her latest venture, The Square.
Warm and energetic, the Square has made a splash in Sharon center and is drawing fans from far and wide. Even though it is currently only serving dinner, lunch and brunch are promised and many cannot wait!
In the meantime, guests are more than satisfied by another Klein-ishly creative menu that includes such standouts as Buffalo cauliflower with house-made hot sauce, Roman artichokes with candied garlic, a French beet salad with Boucheron goat cheese, a locally-sourced, seasonal charcuterie set… and those are just the starters! For main courses, Klein has created an eagle power bowl featuring red quinoa, sesame carrots, Sriracha chickpeas and more powerful ingredients, black Angus burgers in a variety of preparations, all of which come with artisan pickles, a roasted half chicken with charred broccoli, paccheri carbonara with roasted pumpkin and poached egg, and her own take on the ever-popular Ramen with a coconut curry broth and roasted shitake mushrooms.
In addition to brews from Jack’s Abby, Ottercreek, Downeast, Shakesbeer, and other local faves, the hopping bar offers a curated collection of wines as well as such specialty cocktails as the tequila and citrus Saturday Special (which is great any day or night) and the cranberry-infused berry mule.
While there are plenty of choices now, as Klein is ever-eager to make the most of local bounty, the menu is sure to be enhanced as the seasons roll on and reservations roll in. So be sure to get hip to the Square!
