The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Everyone in the area knows that the first Sunday in May is Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger, but not as many know that there is another great event that officially kicks off the annual fund and friend-raising season for the organization.

That is- until NOW!

On March 26 from 6-8 PM, walkers and supporters will gather at Cathedral Church of St. Paul on Tremont Street in Boston to register for the 3-mile or 20-mile walk or 5K run, to pledge their support, or just to get in the spirit  of giving with help from Project Bread’s own culinary team and talented teammates from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Downeast Cider, Shake Shack and more!

Since 1970, Project Bread has beencommitted to preventing and ending hunger in Massachusetts by providing food, funding programs that help people who are hungry, and striving to break the cycle of hunger through action, advocacy, and education. The annual Walk for Hunger is their biggest event and one of the biggest in the Commonwealth and this kick-off party gets people in the right frame of mind to put their feet to work.

So even if you have never walked before, drop by the church after work on the 26thto see what you can do and just how far you can go.
