Chef Will Gilson has gone closer to home for inspiration or his latest location.

Located in Allston in the former Rabottini’s Pizza space on Western Avenue, Cafe Beatrice (which Gilson named after his newborn daughter) is planned as a six-month “pop up” that will feature everything from barista-brewed single-origin coffee drinks and house-made sodas to open-faced toasts topped with everything from avocado to smoked salmon to clothbound cheddar grilled cheese or braised pork, provolone and broccoli rabe sandwiches, to grain, salad, and noodle bowls- all of which will provide healthy and satisfying options for neighbors and area workers alike.

With communal seating inside and a patio that makes for a lovely place to eat or work al fresco, Cafe Beatrice brings new flavors to the neighborhood and gives Gilson a place to try them out for future endeavors.
 
Part of Harvard’s Zone 3 development, Cafe Beatrice is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM and can also be accessed via app-based delivery service.
