While Boston-area beer gardens are gaining a lot of fame, the suburbs and even the ex-urbs are getting in on the game and making quite a go at it!
In Plymouth, the award-winning community known as The Pinehills has combined forces with nosh-y neighbors at Mayflower Brewing and Wahlburgers to develop a garden that might have been worth leaving England for.
Open Thursdays and Fridays from 4-9 PM and Saturdays from 12-9 PM through the day we celebrate another person who is credited with “discovering” America, the garden will feature Mayflower craft beers, well-known wines and soft drinks, as well as Wahlburgers on Friday nights and other trucked-in food favorites on Thursdays and Saturdays. There will also be games, art, and music, making the garden a great place to drop in after a round of golf, some South Shore shopping, or just a family day away from the city.
So while much of Plymouth is preparing to celebrate the 400th anniversary of their most famous immigrants, you can join the locals in a more relaxed and less buckled-down setting that will have you saying thanks in any case.
