Mardi Gras at South Street Diner February 13

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

Though my Saints were once again robbed of their rightful title, I can still get my N’awlins party on at South Street Diner when they bring Mardi Gras to Boston on February 13.

At their annual block party, Sol Sidell and his crew will stir up some serious Ju-Ju as they stir up all-you-can-eat Jambalaya, crawfish boils for two, shrimp o’boys, fried catfish dinners, and other Big Easy treats that are big and easy to love. There will even be alligator sausages and fried frog’s legs (both of which are being shipped direct from the Crescent City) and the Diner’s own Voodoo Punch for those who want to hop in the second line and party!
As befits the day, the Diner and its diners will be festooned with beads, the jukebox packed with Zydeco, and Diner staff will be in costume and welcome guests to follow suit.

So even if you can’t get to Bourbon Street for the nation’s best party, South Street will do just fine.
