Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:
Eataly Boston
If you have been in Back Bay recently, you may have noticed some construction going on around the Prudential Center.
And while many may marvel at the new tower and the Tesla dealership, many more will be coming to tour the gastronomic wonderland that is Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich’s Eataly, which will officially open November 29 at 4 PM.
In addition a full range of Italian-inspired options Eataly will also offer lessons on how to pick the perfect ingredients for and then make what you just enjoyed in their marketplace that offers everything from antipasti elements to Italian chocolates. If cooking like Mario and Lidia is beyond your ken, there are also prepared plates that are perfect to pick up on the way home from the office or to that special evening with family and friends.
While Eataly Boston will bring the best of the international Italian marketplace to the Hub, it will also pay homage to its new home by focusing on the seafood and other local delicacies that make Boston the great food city it is. In addition to a special Eataly Boston gift box, local legend Barbara Lynch will be helping out with the new arrival as an official chef collaborator.
So go see what all the commotion is about and take a bite of Eataly.
