I know it is short notice, but there is an event going on March 27 that will be well worth the effort for all food lovers and good-hearted people.

Our old friend Andy Husbands has again partnered with Share Our Strength to assemble a special one-night fundraising campaign called the Cooking Matters Dinner. The event will be hosted at his amazing Tremont 647 and the adjacent Sorel.

In addition, Share Our Strength has also partnered with the Mass Restaurant Association and restaurants across the Commonwealth for Mass Restaurant Day. From Smoke Shop in Cambridge, Cobblestones of Lowell, Worcester’s 111 Chop House, and Davios at Patriot Place to Hotel Northampton, Turner’s Seafood in Salem, Bucatino in North Falmouth, and East Bay Grille in Plymouth, the participating venues will be offering prix fixe dinners tonight, proceeds from which will go to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.

So if you do not have plans for dinner tonight, why not make a reservation that will satisfy you and those in need?
