Champagne and Snowflakes Charity Brunch @ MIT Endicott House (February 25)

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

When there is a mystery to solve, savvy Bostonians call Hank Phillippi Ryan. Not only is she our most effective investigative reporter, she is also one of the most awarded television journalists and mystery writers in the region.

Similarly, when Bostonians want great, unpretentious food, they head to Mike’s City Diner in the South End, where owner and chef Jay Hajj has been combining his Middle Eastern roots and New England favorites with flair for many years.

On February 25, the two stars will align for the second annual Champagne and Snowflakes brunch at the MIT Endicott House in Dedham. At the event, which is a fundraiser for the Chefs Table Foundation (which supports homeless veterans and young adults by educating them in the ways of the kitchen), Jay will discuss his new book that includes recipes from and stories about his native Lebanon. Of course, the event will also feature one of Chef Jay’s recipes and guests will be allowed to get up close and personal with the two local heroes.

So whether you like to curl up with a good mystery or a great bowl of soup, Hank and Jay got you covered in snowflakes and champagne.
